CT4 · Canterbury area
The Stour-valley village south-west of Canterbury on the Ashford line. Period cottages, larger converted farms and paddock outbuildings.
Chartham is a mixed period-cottage and converted-farm patch. The historic core along Rattington Street and the church includes several listed cottages where LBC applies on any external work. The Chartham Paper Mill site and the newer estate builds further out are modern spec.
Farm and paddock outbuildings drive a lot of the workload here - SWA sub-mains from the main house to a workshop or stable block, RCBO-protected outbuilding boards, IP-rated fittings, and often a landlord's-need for tenant-let annex accommodation to have a compliant separately-metered supply.
DNO supply in Chartham runs single-phase 100A on the domestic stock. Three-phase is more common on the converted-farm properties with paddock loads. Three-phase EV charger installs (11kW or 22kW) are viable on those where the supply already exists.
