When you email, call or WhatsApp us to request a quote we collect the information you provide: name, contact details, address, description of the work, and any photos you send. We do not collect anything else.
Your quote-request information is used only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead with the work, to invoice the completed job and issue any BS 7671 certification. We do not share it with third parties, do not use it for marketing, and do not sell it.
We keep a record of enquiries, chats and our dealings with you. If you would like your own record deleted, contact us at hello@canterburyelectrical.co.uk and we will do it. Completed-job records (invoices, certificates, EICRs) are retained for at least 7 years to satisfy HMRC record-keeping requirements and to support future EICR intervals.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data. Email hello@canterburyelectrical.co.uk with the request and we will action it within 30 days.
We count visits to this site, for statistics only, using our own counting tool. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign label in the link you used, your country (approximate) and whether the visitor looks like a person or a robot. To count unique visitors it uses an identifier. We do not share this data with anyone except our hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you click 'Don't count my visits' in the footer, we remember your choice in this browser with one small local-storage flag called na_ignore; our counter stores nothing else in your browser. You can object at any time using the link in the footer, or contact us at hello@canterburyelectrical.co.uk. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site.
