Thanington is a mixed patch. The older stock in Thanington Without and around the church is mid-C20th semi-detached and chalet-bungalow, with the fusebox age dominating the EICR findings - Wylex Standard and MEM Memera boards are common, both flagging C2 on modern EICR criteria.
The newer Thanington Park development on the western edge is modern spec throughout - metal consumer units, 100A supplies, plenty of headroom for EV charger installs. New-build modifications (kitchen accessory changes, garden lighting circuits, EV charger installs) are a large part of the workload here.
Thanington is not inside a conservation area. Standard Building Regulations Part P notification applies. Kent Highways sits on the A28 side, so any external cable route from a substation-linked new supply needs the standard s.50 highways notice, though that is rare on domestic work.
